Celebrate the Suffragette Centennial with us!

Marlborough NY Democratic Committee

When: Sunday, October 1, 2017 — 4:00 to 6:00 pm
Where: Benmarl Winery 156 Highland Avenue, Marlboro NY

Come and join the Marlborough Democrat Committee for a centennial celebration of women earning the right to vote in New York State. It was earned through dogged determination and the overcoming of huge obstacles, including the incarceration of brave women, before the NY State Legislature approved the vote.

The Marlborough Dems will be highlighting this historical achievement from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 1 at Benmarl. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available. A $25 donation is suggested.

Suffragette costumes are invited, but not necessary. Join the fun! Bring a young woman voter (or soon to be one) to celebrate a woman’s right to vote!

Marlborough is a historic farming community located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, about 70 miles from New York City.

To the west the rugged hills, with their pristine aquifers, fall eastward to the fertile Lattintown valley abundant with fruit and vegetable farms.

Further east lies the Route 9W commercial corridor, including the Hamlets of Marlboro and Milton. From the hamlets the land falls off dramatically with waterfalls and cliffs to the Hudson River where there is a riverfront park, restored 1885 train station and marinas.

Our Committee meets on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Sarah Hull Hallock Library located on Main Street, Milton. Please email me micipo@aol.com so I can inform you of our events, and any news that deserve your attention. Easier yet, call me at 845 236-4243 for more information.

We appreciate your membership in the Democratic Party. Your voice is important, and we want to hear from you. Let’s meet soon, and welcome!
